The Courtyards of Córdoba were declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 2012 and represent the Cordoba way of life in houses with courtyard, bars and garden balconies, in which the fundamental decorative element is flowers.
The Festival of the courtyards of Córdoba is a contest that is celebrated, generally, during the second and third week of the month of May. Participants open, free of charge, their courtyards so that they can be visited within the schedule established for that purpose.
The party is completed with a party in the neighborhood of San Basilio, next to the Royal Stables, where the neighborhood association puts a bar in a space next to the Tower of Bethlehem, and the bars of St. Basil Street contribute to music and drinks sales to groups of Cordoba and tourists who meet there.
In addition, a long list of activities and activities take place during the two weeks that this party continues.
