Holy Week in Córdoba is a commemorative festival of the Passion of Christ in which the people publicly express their faith.

The city is filled with processions that give off the smell of incense and the dim light of the candles carried by the Nazarenes.

In Córdoba there are currently 35 Brotherhoods of Penance that organize processions, some with centuries of history, and that bring together citizens of all ages and social status.

Holy Week in Córdoba, unlike others, is silent and collected. The processions framed in the Historic Center of Córdoba, a World Heritage Site, stand out especially, making it one of the most relevant in Andalusia.
