The La Colada reservoir extends through the municipalities of El Viso, Hinojosa del Duque and Belalcázar. It has a total surface of 608 ha and a reservoir capacity of 58 Hm3. It is located in the Guadiana hydrographic basin and captures the waters of the Guadamatilla river, taking optimal advantage of the possibilities offered by a natural box in which the concrete, arc-gravity dam is erected. Its waters are used to supply the Los Pedroches region and the Almadén region, in the province of Ciudad Real.
