The Bethlehem of Pilferers' Chocolate Craftsmen is one of the major claims of the Christmas in Rute and happens for being the biggest Bethlehem of Chocolate of Spain. For four months, seven main pastrycooks work eight daily hours to make it.
The Christmas crib of the year 2010 possesses 1.480 kilograms of chocolate emphasizing the alegoría of the Mosque, San's Rafael Bridge or the Tower of the Calahorra, all this in white and black chocolate.

It is in the year 1999 when the company Pilferers Craftsmen inaugurates the workroom placed in the exit of Rute's road towards Lucena. It began a gait in which they were giving themselves the hand the handcrafted pastry shop and the sweets of Navidad. To catch clients, it happened to them then to construct a Bethlehem in Chocolate of 500 kilos.

In a little time, this idea turned into an immense national claim. In seven years, the Christmas crib has gone on to 1.400 kilos of chocolate and the room has duplicated up to more than 62 square meters of now, changing the format, the distribution and increasing the details in marzipan. It is a question, so, of a work that it returns to be born every year, after, on having concluded the campaign in January, the Christmas crib melts in a great chocolatada for the enjoyment of the smallest. Just there remains a small sample of previous editions.

In this renovation, it resides departs from his captivation. Therefore, also it would be necessary to speak about 1.400 kilos of creativity and about an incentive " to see if it is better than that of the previous year ".
