At the beginning of the 15th century, the appearance of the Virgin produced to itself in Villa of the Rio, which propitiated the construction of a hermitage in the place. In 1520 the Town hall is constituted in patronage of the Virgin, and since then the Virgin is venerated as mistress of Villa of the Rio and as Virgin of the Star.
